Item Description

Vintage U.S. Navy USS Mars (AFS-1) original 1960s porcelain ash tray measuring 6" in diameter and made by "Maruri (Fine) China" in Japan. The ash tray's in excellent condition and has NO CRACKS or CHIPS. The Navy's USS Mars is named for Mars Borough in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The ship was commissioned on 1 Dec 63 and was decommissioned on 19 Feb 98. A great piece of Naval memorabilia and history spanning the Vietnam, Cold and Gulf Wars.
