This is a very rare antique "Fiddle" base hand-crank sewing machine in original condition and also a valuable piece of history (made during the 1861-1865 U.S. Civil War). According to researched Singer sewing machine database records, this piece was manufactured by Singer in New York City at the Mott St. factory in the year 1862. This type of sewing machine is a true testament to the craftsmanship of that time period and perfect for collectors or enthusiasts of antique sewing machines. The Singer "Fiddle" base sewing machine is unique (over 163 years old) and a very sought-after piece that brings a touch of nostalgia and charm to any collection!Categories:
